Self-destructive behaviors
Self-destructive behaviors stand in the way of getting what we truly want. They are actions we chose, but they seem automatic and inescapable. Often, they serve to maintain status quos, prevent growth, and imprison us in unhappy situations.
I understand the pain and hopelessness that comes from repeating the same mistakes. I have helped clients overcome myriad self-destructive patterns, including binge-eating, compulsive spending, alienating romantic partners, self-sabotaging in the workplace, and chronic relapsing on drugs and alcohol.
It is never too late to replace unhelpful behaviors with effective, self-affirming ones.
